Maui Wowie

Guess it's no coincidence the "maui wowie" sushi roll is one of my favorites! I've only been here a few hours, but I'm already enamored by the beauty of the island. I arrived yesterday for what is sure to be a spectacular, as well as a spectacularly intense, month long training camp in Hawaii.

I was picked up at the airport by Linsey Corbin and Brent McMahon, two of my LifeSport commrades and training partners for the next few weeks worth of sufferfests. After a quick bike build, I was off for a little ride to spin out my plane legs, followed by a light (though not as light as if I'd gone solo!) T run with Linsey. The ocean vistas are absolutely breathtaking.

We are staying in the quaint town of Paia, a fishing village, that boasts some awesome restaurants--dinner was salad with a huge ahi tuna steak and shrimp for $13. I think I'm gonna like this place.

The first step is always the hardest. . . .

I woke up this morning, and decided I would officially end the procrastination. After a long "off season" from blogging, I'm back! I'm looking forward to keeping you updated on my training and racing, as well as any other related (or not so related) things I have to share.

Whether it's starting up your training or another project you've been putting off, it all starts with that first step.

Thanks for reading.
